A Dougherty County woman says someone needs to be held accountable after her 6-year-old son was dropped off at home and left alone by a school bus driver.
Tamika Wooden says she was alerted to the problem when extended daycare workers called her with concerns that her son didn't arrive after school. Wooden says that shortly afterwards, the school bus driver called her and said that her son missed his stop because he had fallen asleep, and that they were going to drop him off at home. The Dougherty County School System says that it is protocol to call the parents and then take the child home, though that doesn't necessarily mean "drop them off."
Wooden wants someone to be held accountable for the action. School officials say they are dealing with the matter.
