4C Academy preps for next year with new equipment purchase
The current school year is about to wrap up, but the 4C Academy in Albany is already prepping for next year.
The Dougherty County School board recently approved $162,026 is new equipment for the school's healthcare and aviation labs.
The purchases include first aid equipment, drones and flight simulators.
"It’s meeting the industry standards, so the things that we’re going to teach our students in the classroom, when they step out into the world of work, they’ll be able to use that same equipment," said Dr. Kendra Huff, the Dougherty County School System's CTAE coordinator.
Those purchases are all covered by a Georgia Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) grant.
