31-year-old man shot on Threadneedle Court

SECOND UPDATE (Thursday 8/15/13 7:00 AM):

Albany police officers responded to a call about shots fired at 2331 Threadneedle Court, Apartment 1 shortly before 10 P.M. Wednesday night.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with 31-year-old Carlos Ward.

Ward appeared to have a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen area.

He stated that he heard a knock on the door and when he opened the door, two unknown black males forced their way in.

One of the suspects shot him.

Ward was transported to the hospital by a family friend.

FIRST UPDATE (WEDNESDAY 8/14/13 11:00 P.M.):

Albany police are looking for two suspects who allegedly shot another man in the stomach shortly before 10 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Officials say a 31-year-old black male was shot in the stomach at 2331 Threadneedle Court after answering a knock on his front door. The victim told police that after answering the door two black men dressed in dark colored clothing shot him then ran away.
