Tue, 21 May 2013 14:35:37 GMT — A multi-jurisdictional drug bust has netted officers in Tift County $121,000 in cash.Officials with the Tift County Sheriff's Office say that on May 7th as part of an investigation, 36-year-old Daniel Eubanks attempted to purchase fifty pounds of marijuana from undercover officers in Lowndes County. When he arrived to make the purchase, he was arrested Lowndes County Sheriff TMs Office drug agents.During this time, agents with the Mid-South Narcotics Task Force Task Force and Tift County deputies who had been performing surveillance on Eubanks say they served a search warrant on Eubanks' residence on 36th Street in Tifton. During the search, agents and deputies say they discovered large plastic containers with suspected marijuana residue in the attic crawl space and the containers appeared to be used for storage of the drug.The search of the residence also yielded $121,000 in cash according to officers.Eubanks is being held at the Lowndes County Detention Center and has been charged with trafficking in marijuana.
