Increased patrol in Worth County leads to $15,000 bust

A suspicious vehicle in an area under increased patrol in Worth County has led to one arrest and 10 pounds of marijuana being found.

Officials with the Worth County Sheriff's Office say that the vehicle was spotted in front of an unoccupied home on Hilltop Drive.

Deputies made contact with 23-year-old Efram Barber Jr., who deputies say had an odor of marijuana on him.

Deputies found a small bag of marijuana on Barber and a search warrant was taken out for the home.

Inside, deputies found the marijuana with an estimated street value of $15,000 along with digital scales.

Barber is being charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
