In the Facebook story of the day, you wanted to know what the board of elections does when there isn't an election.

Right now, the Dougherty County board of elections office is busy packing up all the voter certificates and filing information that was collected in the November election. They will also be adding voters to the system who registered after the deadline.

"Every registration card that's completed in Albany Georgia is maintained in our office, in that card file. So we're required to maintain them in alphabetical order and we'll be going through that process of course," said Ginger Nickerson, the Elections Supervisor for Albany-Dougherty County.

After redistricting goes into effect next year, Nickerson and her team will be updating the systems with everyone's new district.
