As we get closer to the start of school, many want to know if Dougherty County School System's Interim Superintendent Dr. David Mosely will be here throughout the entire school year.
A few weeks ago, a new law passed stating that retired school administrators can't work with a school system more than 49% of the time.
If Dr. Mosely were to come out of retirement into a full time status, he would forfeit his earned benefits.
He says even under part time status he will work the hours required to be an effective superintendent.
I don't think there's any law that says I can't volunteer time in the Dougherty County Board of Education if I choose to as an individual, said Dr. Mosley.
Dr. Mosely says he intends to stay with the system through the entire school year.
