As we get closer to the start of school, many want to know if Dougherty County School System's Interim Superintendent Dr. David Mosely will be here throughout the entire school year.

A few weeks ago, a new law passed stating that retired school administrators can't work with a school system more than 49% of the time.

If Dr. Mosely were to come out of retirement into a full time status, he would forfeit his earned benefits.

He says even under part time status he will work the hours required to be an effective superintendent.

"I don't think there's any law that says I can't volunteer time in the Dougherty County Board of Education if I choose to as an individual," said Dr. Mosley.

Dr. Mosely says he intends to stay with the system through the entire school year.
