Georgia District 2 Congressional Candidate John House held a meet and greet Tuesday evening at the Merry Acres Conference Center to get to know community members and give them a chance to bring their concerns to his attention.

House talked about two items in particular that he's pushing. They include veterans benefits and growth in the agricultural sector.

The congressional candidate says he's concerned that some veterans aren't being taken care of as they should.

He also wants to do all that he can to provide a transportation network that will connect the southwest Georgia agricultural industry to Savannah, Georgia.

"The agricultural industry is what drives what goes on inside the second district and so I need to make sure that I understand exactly what they need me to do to make them successful because that's my job as a leader," says John House.

House is running against Democratic incumbent Sanford Bishop, and Republican opponent Rick Allen.
