Commissioner wants to ban baggy pants

Commissioner Jack Stone calls baggy pants "vulgar" and "disgusting"

Dougherty County commissioner Jack Stone says he wants to pass legislation that will ban baggy pants.

Several folks Fox 31 News talked to say they agree that there should be some kind of law that regulates the way young men dress. After the general's rendition of "Pants on the Ground" on American Idol last week, Stone has decided he wants to put legislation in action that will somehow eradicate droopy drawers. Stone says they are "disgusting", and "vulgar". Dougherty County attorney, Spencer Lee says they can't pass a law that tells people what they can or can't wear.

However, Hawkinsville, a city south of Macon has succeeded in passing a baggy pants law.
