City Commissioners take care of business
Mayor Willie Adams and the city commissioners honored Morris Gurr for his years of service as the Ward 3 City Commissioner.
Directly after the mayor presented Commissioner Gurr with a plaque, Christopher Pike was sworn in as the new Ward 3 City Commissioner.
"I'm excited, you never know what to expect until you get in there and start doing the work. I expect to his the ground running as I already have and just try to make a difference in the city" says Pike.
In other business commissioners agreed to pay ADICA $28,269 to help fund their deficit.
Commissioners also voted on dozens of city appointments ranging from Municipal Court Judge to the Fire Code Board of Appeals appointee.
In addition to being sworn in as a city commissioner, Christopher Pike was elected Mayor Pro Tem for 2010.
