Earlier this month, Albany State University's Student Government Association trained student leaders on how to register students to vote. On Monday that training will be put to the test during a voter registration drive for students.
The SGA has asked teachers to bring their classes to the drive to make sure all students are registered to the school and not their hometown.
"That is our main purpose and goal is to make sure that every student is eligible to vote here on campus and is registered before the deadline, which is October 8th, and we want to make sure that they're registered here in Albany," said the SGA Vice President of External Affairs, Kevius Bass.
The drive starts at 12 p.m. in the amphitheatre and will feature music and plenty of entertainment.
