Albany-Dougherty consolidation will most likely be delayed

If you were hoping to get the chance to vote on Albany and Dougherty County consolidation â" it looks like you're going to have to wait another year.

Officials say the vote will most likely be stalled until 2012 because they need the latest census data for help with redrawing district lines.

Senator Freddie Powell-Sims has said in the past that she'll reintroduce a bill calling for a referendum on consolidation during this term of the General Assembly.
