FOX 31 reported Tuesday night that Albany City Manager James Taylor is set to receive a $15,000 raise. This means he'll take home about $145,000 a year, plus more vacation time.

We did some investigating into what other city managers make in the state.

Taylor's salary can't be compared with Atlanta's city manager's pay because the mayor actually runs the city there.

Albany's city manager will make a little more than Macon's city manager who, according to the 2013 Municipal Wage and Salary Survey, makes around $139,000 annually.

Although Albany did not participate in the 2013 study, you can find the entire 2013 Municipal Wage and Salary Survey online.
