On Friday, U.S. Senate hopeful Michelle Nunn along with her family spent time in Albany.
Nunn is bringing her campaign "What Washington Can Learn from Georgia" tour to the city because she wants to highlight how individuals are tackling tough challenges in Georgia through self-empowerment, entrepreneurship, and collaboration.
She says her main focus is joining forces with volunteers reading and helping neglected and abused children, as well as children with mental disabilities.
She says, "this is a reminder of the goodness of Georgians and their capacity to lift themselves up and make a difference in the lives of others."
Nunn and her family will travel to eleven cities in fourteen days. Some of the cities she and her family will visit include Macon, Columbus, Valdosta, and Atlanta.
