The weekend was full of different sporting events, but one event celebrated it's first ever with hopes of continuing.
It's called "Serving up Meals" which was a tennis tournament put together by SOWEGA Council on Aging. Hosting the event was Stonebridge's Tennis Complex and lasted all weekend starting on Friday.
The goal of the tennis tournament was to help raise money for the benefit "Meals on Wheels," that delivers over 186,000 meals per a year to homebound seniors in Southwest Georgia.
The tournament welcomed players of all levels to compete, but the only catch was to have a doubles partner, because this event was based on gender doubles and/or mixed doubles.
Even with the competition high all participants kept in mind that tennis is just a game and we are all here for a good cause.
