Darton State College for the last seven years has been the home of a summer tennis camp that helps young players learn and understand the game. The person behind this tradition is Darton's very own Sports Information Director David Mann, but he couldn't do it alone.

Mann said, "I have been running this camp for the last seven years but the last five I have had some great help from Brandon and Brittany Skiles."

The camp gets underway later today at 12:30 and ends at 3PM. The camp focuses on starting with the basics like learning what each line means on the court and scoring. Kids starting as young as 6 years of age can participate all the way through age 17. Learning the fundamentals of the game is just the beginning, and Coach Mann feels these kids learn a little more at the end of the day.

Mann said, "Although it is important to teach the kids about the game, we also like to have a fun and relaxing camp, and I think that is why most of our kids return for another year."
