Sometimes hitting the golf course can be tough during the week, but when it's for a good cause why not?

Doublegate Country Club hosted the 17th annual Charles H. Smith Golf Tournament sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Dougherty County.

The event started at noon with a cookout and registration, then just an hour later their was a shotgun start for a two man scramble.

Over 40 different golfers took to the links with an entry fee of $75 and all the proceeds being used to benefit different community projects throughout Dougherty and Lee County.
