A former Worth County football player is getting his shot at the NFL, and he picked a good spot.
Undrafted rookie Meshak Williams has signed a contract with the defending Super Bowl champion, Baltimore Ravens, according to the team's website.
The former Worth County Ram along with three other players claimed contracts following last week's Baltimore rookie camp. Playing his college ball at Kansas State, Williams recorded eight and a half sacks, second in the Big 12 Conference last season.
Williams will have Kansas State company during upcoming OTA's and summer camp. Defensive teammate and linebacker Arthur Brown was selected by the Ravens in the second round of April's NFL Draft.
Williams projects as an outside linebacker leaving his natural college position at defensive end.
