Disc Golfers take over Chehaw

With the beautiful fall weather it wasn't a hard decision to spend the day outside as 72 different disc golfer's competed in the 5th annual Josh Franklin Memorial Disc Golf Tournament at Chehaw.

Check-in for the event started early Saturday morning and ended with a final round Sunday afternoon. Two rounds of 18 holes each and a third and final round on Sunday followed by the playoffs.

To top off the event was an awards ceremony for all the disc golfers who finished in the top three and people were even recognized for any hole in ones. The sport of disc golfing is on the rise along with this annual event, that had some disc golfers put on a waiting list just to participant.

In the end disc golfers from all over South Georgia and parts of Florida gathered for Josh Franklin and a chance to play a little disc golf.
